Terms & Conditions - The Basics
These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) outline the agreement between Auss Cleaning Services (“we”, “our”, “us”) and the customer (“you”). By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these terms. The purpose of these T&C is to define expectations, protect both parties, and ensure a fair and transparent working relationship.
As a cleaning service provider, our T&C are designed to cover common issues in the cleaning industry, including payment reliability, cancellations, customer dissatisfaction, access to the property, safety, and quality expectations. These terms help prevent misunderstandings and protect us from potential disputes, as experiences may vary from job to job.
These T&C apply to all bookings made through our website, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or any other communication method.
What to Include in the T&C Document
A clear Terms & Conditions document should address the following areas:
1. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Customers who refuse to pay, delay payment, or dispute the work after it has been completed may be subject to:
• additional late fees,
• cancellation of future bookings,
• debt recovery procedures.
We reserve the right to refuse service to clients who have a history of non-payment or unreasonable behaviour.
2. Quality & Satisfaction
We take pride in delivering high-quality cleaning. If you are not satisfied, you must notify us within 24 hours with photos so we can return and fix the issue.
No refunds apply after the work has been completed unless agreed at our discretion.
3. Access to Property
Customers must ensure we have safe and timely access to the property.
If we arrive and cannot access the home, a call-out fee may apply.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations within 24 hours of your booking may incur a cancellation fee to cover lost time and travel.
Repeated cancellations may result in refusal of future service.
5. Unsafe or Unreasonable Conditions
We reserve the right to stop work if:
• the home is unsafe,
• there are aggressive animals,
• there is abusive or threatening behaviour,
• the required scope is significantly different from what was agreed.
In such cases, payment for the time spent will still be required.
6. Additional Charges
Extra charges may apply for:
• extremely dirty homes,
• biohazardous materials (pet waste, mould, insects),
• extra rooms or tasks not included in the quote,
• oven, window, or deep-cleaning requests added on the spot.
7. Items Not Covered
We are not responsible for:
• pre-existing damage in the property,
• fragile items poorly placed,
• electrical or plumbing issues discovered during cleaning,
• loss of items unless proven to be caused by our team.
8. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must:
• provide accurate job details,
• disclose any sensitive areas (fragile items, damaged surfaces),
• secure valuables,
• treat staff respectfully.
Abusive, rude, or aggressive behaviour will result in immediate cancellation of service.
9. Liability
While we take care in all work, Auss Cleaning Services is not liable for:
• minor wear and tear,
• discoloration of old grout/tiles,
• results limited by age or condition of the home.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.
